Ugly balun495 viewsBuilt to eliminate QRN from my SKY/TV. This is around 2-3ft from the base of the antenna and is 15 turns of coax around 1.25" pipe, drilled at each end to secure the cable. Wrapped in insulating tape.
Results were slightly less SWR centre reading and a slight increase in usable bandwidth. Also solved the QRN almost totally.
